Wedding in Mexico!

My aunt, Norma, married her soul mate, Evan, this past weekend in a beautiful ceremony at The Church of Our Lady of Fatima in the town of Coatepec, Veracruz.
Norma and Evan met in the Grand Canyon on a rafting trip which had been arranged by a close friend. Norma was the first person to sign up, Evan the last. Evan almost drowned during the trip and, as he says, managed to barely make it back up for air before entering the gates of Hell. When he did, after only knowing Norma a short time, he decided he nonetheless had to cement the relationship. His exact words? "You, me, together, forever!" (sniff, sniff) I can tell you, they seem a perfect match and they both make each other so happy it lights up everyone around them. They are just extraordinary people whom everyone looks forward to being around.
Norma and Evan aren't exactly spring chickens, but maybe that's a good thing. They know what they want and they are not afraid to truly enjoy life and each other. It was just such a joyful wedding and their happiness was so evident, it was beautiful. Everyone was crying and smiling the whole way through the ceremony.
The reception was held up a ways into the hills in a tiny resort called Los Maquiques, which did practically nothing to intrude on its beautiful surroundings. We were fortunate enough to be able to stay there with my grandparents (Ma y Papo), my other aunt and uncle (Coco y Mimi), and Evans brother and his wife (Chance and Irene). The place is tiny, with only 4 cabins, but so gorgeous! http://www.losmaquiques.com/maquiques.htm
